Abstract

COVID-19 has compelled world leaders to implement new regulation designed to slow the spread of the pandemic, including mandated social distancing and stay-at-home orders. This project evaluated the effect the lockdown has had on the life-style habits of college-aged students through an online survey. Overall, 66% of participants reported that the lockdown resulted in a change in their overall health perception. Specifically, 70% of the survey participants reported decreased activity and 36% reported an increase in weight. Our study suggests the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a change in the overall health perception and health behaviors of college-aged students.
