Abstract

This presentation will explore the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and Science Denial in examining how AI infliences public understanding and trust in scientific knowledge. By analyzing deep fakes and AI generated pictures and videos, this projects seeks to ask fundamental questions about the human ability to differentiate media that is artificially generated and real, and the concerns it poses for the future. When one struggles to discern between what is fake and what is real, is when concerns about trust and authenticity emerge.
