Analogical Properties of Entrepreneurial Opportunities and Their Effects on Judgment

Abstract

The distinctive trademark of an entrepreneur is the recognition of and the action upon profit opportunities (Kirzner, 1997). Researchers have attempted to find out the factors that help an individual recognize and judge such opportunities. Demographic factors and psychological traits provided unimpressive results (Shook, 2003). In this paper I focus on cognitive factors as determinants of opportunity judgment.
