Abstract
Disclosed herein is a method for quantifying phosphatidylethanol (“ PEth ”), direct ethanol biomarker, from a blood sample using gas chromatography mass spectrometry. The method disclosed herein is useful for diagnosing acute and chronic alcohol abuse.
