2022 Ruth K. Palmer Research Symposium registration is now open!

To introduce the theme of the 2022 Ruth K. Palmer Symposium, "In Pursuit of Truth: The Critical Role of Research in Health Care," we are delighted to have Dr. John Hardt, Associate Professor, Neiswanger Institute of Bioethics and Vice Dean for Professional Formation at the Stritch School of Medicine, present "The Fragility of Truth: Looking for Signposts in Uncharted Terrain" on Wednesday, March 16th at 4:00 PM. Dr. Hardt's presentation will focus on ways of responding to our current cultural moment in which “sources of truth” are varied, contradictory, and even unnerving. The presentation will be held via Zoom.

The 2022 Ruth K. Palmer Symposium will be held via Zoom on Friday, March 18th, 2022. Join us to hear from our two keynote speakers, Dr. Eileen Lake presenting "Two Truths And a Lie About the Work Environment and Health Outcomes" and Dr. Jacquelyn Taylor presenting "A Research Trajectory in Hypertension Genomics." We will also hear from Loyola Nursing scholars Dr. Sandi Tenfelde presenting "Predictors of Postpartum Care Attendance for Birthing Persons Receiving Care at Federally Qualified Health Centers" and Dr. Cynthia Paidipati presenting "Mental Health & Ethics: A Mixed Methods Approach to Understanding the Experiences of Undergraduate Nursing Students." See Symposium Speakers for more information on our speakers and their presentations.

Please note that Dr. Hardt’s and Dr. Taylor’s presentations will not be recorded and will not be available for later viewing.
