Abstract
The power of contemporary global actors is growing. With the increasing complexity these global shifts bring, the adequate education and training of diplomats is becoming more imperative. This research analyzes the Italian state’s most pressing foreign policy concerns and seeks to draw an understanding from the training and education diplomatic personnel receive as to how well education and training prepares them to carry out Italy’s most important foreign policy pursuit. This research is particularly interested in this is preparing Italian diplomatic personnel to act within the environment created by new global shifts.
