Abstract
This presentation overviews the impact that heat stress has on Anolis sagrei development. Our lab uses microbiological and morphological techniques to understand the impact that heat stress (and climate change) has on the cranio-facial development of this lizard species. We have seen decreased brain size and increased incidence of facial clefting, and are looking to quantify the Shh signaling pathway during heat stress vs in normal conditions.
