Abstract

This research seeks information on how the Chicago Farmers Market Collective may best digitally educate their customers. Digital media is at the forefront of marketing. Local organizations like the Chicago Farmers Market Collective need to utilize these strategies to remain competitive in the ever-changing business world. The goal of this research was to understand the needs of consumers in the Chicago area in regards to their produce. The research found that consumers lack a basic understanding of local food systems. The Chicago Farmers Market Collective has a need to digitally educate their consumers to better serve their community's needs.
