Abstract

My presentation discusses my internship experience at GirlForward, a nonprofit organization assisting young refugee girls who have resettled in the U.S. through educational opportunities and various enrichment programs. I share some aspects of what tasks and duties I held in my role on a day to day basis as well as giving a background on my personal project. The personal project I developed consists of a podcast interview discussing a first hand experience of a refugee in America and their efforts in protesting for an important cause in their respective community. In addition, my learning objectives are mentioned with a short reflection of what I got out of my overall internship experience.
