Abstract
The summer of 2020, Melina Testin worked as a docent and marketing intern at the Smithsonian Affiliated National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library (NCSML) in Cedar Rapids, IA, in the modern art exhibit Artists as Activists. Testin wrote blog posts and created original artwork to promote each artist on the NCSML blog and encourage museum visitation. Guests benefitted from Testin’s research in the gallery where vibrant discussions took place over the artwork of David Černý, Ai Weiwei, Malik Sajad, and others.
