Abstract

This project concerns the construction of an autonomous vehicle utilizing a control system, LIDAR, camera, wireless communication, and on-board/off-board data processing/storage. A lack of trust currently exists in autonomous vehicles due to the lack of data available on its safety and mechanisms. Therefore, the goal is to collect data for public use, including LIDAR and camera data as well as data for the purpose for investigating its ability to map nearby objects. Our data yielded LIDAR wavelets which was able to summarize the data given.
