Abstract

My project is a short documentary regarding the creation of a dance piece that I created. It’s set on a train platform where the dancers represent people who may run into a friend here, connect with a complete stranger, or just keep to themselves. Each section of the dance has its own mood and style. I wanted the dance to be an experience for the audience and the dancers, so I challenged them and myself to adapt to the changes. I also encouraged the dancers to make my choreography their own in hopes of reflecting human individuality with human connectivity.
