Abstract

This research project seeks to examine the impact of perceived discrimination on single mothers and their reflected appraisals during the COVID-19 pandemic. We predict that single mothers from underrepresented groups will report experiencing lower feelings of love and acceptance by their child(ren). The proposed research seeks to fill gaps in literature about the impact discrimination has against single mothers and their perceptions of love and acceptance throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
