Abstract

  • This study aims to inform teachers, school leaders, parents as well as authors and publishers about the importance of children’s books that feature diversity and promote the use of books about the underrepresented and unheard voices in the classroom.

  • The report explains why it is important to include underrepresented and unheard voices in children’s literature and describes the current status of children’s literature development and publication.

  • The study introduces recently published books for teachers and parents through book talks, book trailers and read aloud, and children’s book awards.
