Abstract

The Flint water crisis brought attention to the devastating effects of lead contamination. It is known that lead can neurological function and development especially in children. To explore the effects of the Flint water crisis on fertility and outcomes limited research has been done analyzing birth rates from the Flint region. More research is necessary to determine if the incident in Flint had a greater effect on the fertility and birth rates of black, brown, and low income communities.
