Abstract

Submitted as part of my experience interning with the office of Senator Tammy Duckworth during Fall of 2021. This paper explores the dangers of both active and passive rhetoric from influential leaders, using Former President Trump's presidency as a case study, to delineate the ever change political divides between parties. The stark divide elucidated during his tenure made it more challenging than ever for both Democrats and Republicans to push forward their agenda, which continues to this day under President Biden.
