Abstract
The Build Back Better Framework is President Joe Biden’s plan to help rebuild the middle class. Despite being introduced at the start of Biden’s presidency, its many provisions and high price tag has left the bill stalled in the Senate. It is important for legislators to advance parts of the policy that matter to them most while also accurately representing their constituency. Considering this, Senator Tammy Duckworth, who prioritizes advancing progressive policies while also balancing the opinions of her constituents, should support the passage of the current and more moderate version of the Build Back Better Act.
