Abstract
The Social Justice Internship provides undergraduates students an opportunity to work with a non-profit organization. I was matched to be an Educational Intern at GirlForward, a community of beautiful young refugee and immigrant women connect to resources and other opportunities here in the United States. In my role, I contribute to the operational aspects of these tutoring programs by preparing weekly tutoring matches for the girls and facilitating virtual Zoom sessions, ensuring an exceptional tutoring experience for them. Throughout my internship, I have connected with the girls on a personal level, learning more about their stories, and helping to form their identity. I have worked on a personal project that highlights on the importance of sleep health in young adolescents.
