Abstract
This video will describe the experience working as a social work intern at New Trier High School in their Learning Center. The Learning Center is a therapeutic day school within New Trier High School that supports special education students who require a small and structured learning environment. Over the course of the year, I conducted classroom observations, push-in and pull-out counseling services, participated in consultation and collaboration with teachers and teams, and created and planned group therapy interventions. This experience supported me in improving my social work skills and understanding the roles of a school social worker.
