Abstract

Hope For The Day is a Chicago-based non-profit organization focusing on proactive suicide prevention and advocating for informed conversations regarding mental health. As an Education Department intern, Shannon participated in various research and community outreach projects, contributing to her deepened understanding of mental health topics and the importance of community engagement and peer-led support. Additionally, she assisted with facilitating in-person and virtual educational presentations that were open and engaging to diverse communities nationwide.
