Abstract

Most conspiracy theories are seen as a joke and are typically laughed at, but no one usually considers the real cause behind why they are made in the first place. One of the leading causes of conspiracy theories found is believed to be anxiety and/or paranoia, but does social influence have a bigger effect on them or is it mostly internal? I will be sharing findings on what possible causes are behind conspiracy theories and how do conspiracy theorists so confidently use science denial. How do these theories get so crazy and why does it tear so many people apart.
