Abstract
Much has been discovered about the nature of proteins, but scientists around the world are still trying to understand the relationship between protein structure and function. Steps to answer these questions have been pursued in the efforts of improving predictive modeling software like Foldit with supplemented data sets. We make our own efforts to aid researchers in gaining more data, by mutating and analyzing the thermostability and catalytic activity of mutant π½-glucosidase (BglB) proteins.
