Abstract

AI holds the potential to revolutionize emergency medicine; to save lives or cause serious harm if left ungoverned by the right ethical framework. The high-stakes, fast-moving nature of emergency care exposes the limits of rule-based AI ethics more than anywhere else in medicine. Ignatian spirituality offers training and application guidance beyond rule-based ethics.
