Abstract

Through Loyola's Social Justice Internship program, I have worked with Misericordia's dance team, the Heartbreakers. This team is made up of dancers with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their performances raise awareness of the capabilities of individuals with disabilities. Dance empowers these residents and provides a unique form of expression.
