Abstract
Freshman engineering students were approached by Dr. Kostovich, head of the Loyola nursing department, to try and build a lifelike, 3D model for the nursing students. The model would have a detachable eye, nose, and ear that the nurses would use to practice administering medication.
Our group was tasked with creating a practical eye model in SolidWorks that could hold liquid and be easily emptied by students when the labs were finished. It also had to be as lifelike as possible to prepare the students for real experiences in the field.
