Abstract

Current ERP analysis tools are insufficient in that they do not allow users to calculate ERPs time locked to the participant's response. They are also limited in the kinds of data visualizations and advanced statistical calculations available. Thus, we created our own open-source tool in R, an open-source programming language designed for statistics and visualization. Our tool, ResponseLockR, can calculate response-locked ERPs baseline correcting them to the pre-stimulus baseline. Our tool will also allow us to use a variety of robust statistical procedures (multilevel modeling, structural equation modeling) not commonly offered in other statistical software.
