Abstract
As an intern at GirlForward I stepped into a space that was already incredibly empowering and inclusive to people of all backgrounds and identities. However, I sought to create a resource that would go one step further in addressing issues that LGBTQ+ individuals face and providing information on topics to empower the community to continuously provide a safe space to girls of all gender identities/expressions and sexual orientations. My research was enthusiastically supported, and I was able to take steps to implement it into the fabric of GirlForward, leaving my personal mark on the organization.
