Abstract

PACTT Learning Center is a school dedicated to serving students with autism to prepare for immersion into the community and for independence. As an intern at PACTT, I worked in a classroom with 6 high school students with autism and was able to learn of the varying needs within the realm of special education. Following my experience in the classroom, I have posed the question "are schools similar to PACTT the way forward for special education?". This question follows my research of special education funding and my individual experience at PACTT.
