Abstract
Dearest Maxine
Metaphors are your life.
We are strangers as teachers—
we play the Blue Guitar; we
challenge our taken-for-grantedness
and resist “the things as they are”
enthusiastically. I am inspired by you,
my dearest Maxine,
to imagine what might be, what should be.
