Abstract
Currently, I intern at Haymarket Center in the Women’s Integrated Program. I work with women of all backgrounds experiencing drug and substance use disorder. My responsibilities include group counseling based on cognitive behavioral therapy, chemical dependency, and coping mechanisms. I facilitate two group sessions a day on Mondays and Tuesdays. Moreover, I provide one-on-one counseling for individual clients if their primary counselor is busy or absent. My groups comprise of lectures affiliated to recovery, worksheets, and activities. Upon completion, I collect and report group notes onto our Haymarket online system for patient records and progress.
