Abstract
This research project will investigate the influence science denial has on public policy. This topic is extremely relevant in today’s political climate, with many issues being centered around scientific debates. This project focuses on education policies regarding evolution and intelligent design. To accomplish this research, I will examine sites that both advocate for and disagree with the implementation of intelligent design in the classroom, as well as historical and recent legal cases surrounding the topic. By examining these examples, this project aims to highlight how science denial undermines evidence based decision making.
