Abstract
For my engaged learning project, I visited the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir located in Bartlett, Illinois. This project gave me the opportunity to explore a religion that is different from my own and to observe how people practice their beliefs in a real-world setting. As a medical student, I think its important to not only learn about religious in class, but also experience them in real life. In this presentation, I will talk about why I chose this temple, what I experienced during my visit, and what I learned from it.
